Panel at the 115th AAA Annual Meeting in Minneapolis

Jen Sandler (University of Massachusetts, Amherst) and Renita Thedvall (Stockholm University) organizes a panel on Theory and Method in Meeting Ethnography: Engaging with Key Sites of Evidence and Inquiry Across Diverse Policy World. Participants are also Celeste Alexander (Princeton University), Raymond Anderson (University of Wisconsin, Madison), Nancy Kendall (University of Wisconsin, Madison), Rachel Silver (University of Wisconsin, Madison). Discussant is Kysa Nygreen (University of Massachusetts, Amherst).

2016

 Helen B. Schwartzman (Northwestern University) and Renita Thedvall (Stockholm University) organized a panel on Meetings: the 'infrastructure' of work in local and global settings at the EASA conference in Milan 20-23 July. Helen B. Schwartzman (Northwestern University) and Renita Thedvall (Stockholm University) organized an internal workshop on Meetings at Score-Stockholm Centre for Organizational Research at Stockholm University and Stockholm School of Economics, also including a public seminar with Helen B. Schwartzman and Renita Thedvall. Participants were Lovisa Näslund (Score), Lambros Roumbanis (Score) and Hans Tunestad (Department of Social Anthropology, Stockholm University.

2015

Matilda Stubbs (Northwestern University) organized a panel Documenting Meetings and the Work of Organizational Artifacts in honor of Helen Schwartzman (Northwestern University) with Arturo Marquez (Northwestern University) and Helen Schwrtzman as discussants at the AAA (American Anthropological Association) conference November 18-22 in Denver. Participants were also Nathalie Bump Vena (Williams College), Livia Garofalo (Northwestern University), Elizabeth Ann Hartman (Northwestern University), Vanessa Watters (Northwestern University).

Jen Sandler (University of Massachusetts (UMass), Amherst), Nancy Kendall (University of Wisconsin-Madison) organized a workshop Meeting Ethnography across NGO-graphies at the NGOgraphies Conference November 17-18 in Denver. Participants were also Celeste Alexander (Princeton University), Andrew Walsh (University of Western Ontario), Jorge Legoas Peña (McGill University).

Adam Reed (St. Andrews University), Thomas Yarrow (Durham University), Hannah Brown (Durham University) organized a panel Meetings: procedure and artifacts of modern knowledge with Marilyn Strathern (University of Cambridge) as discussant at the ASA (Association of Social Anthropologists of the UK and Commonwealth) conference June 19-22 in Edinburgh, UK.
